Dolphins
Dolphins in the Charleston waters are playful and around all year. You are likely to see Atlantic bottlenose dolphins who can grow up to 12 feet long weighing in at 1,400 pounds. They hang out in pods of up to 12 dolphins. They can dive to 1,000 feet and jump up to 20 feet above the water. It can be difficult keeping up with them since they are fast swimmers, up to 35 mph. Hopefully, you will encounter a “bow rider” which hitches a ride in the bow wave of your boat.
Coastal wildlife
As you and your guests are cruising at a slow speed, your Captain will take you close enough to the coastline. So, be on the lookout for one of these native wildlife species in Charleston, South Carolina: bats, beavers, bobcat, coyote, deer, gray fox, long-tailed weasel, manatee, mink, muskrat, opossum, raccoon, red fox, river otter, southern fox squirrel, spotted skunk, wild hog. Sea birds

There are wading birds such as storks, herons, and egrets. The oystercatchers and sandpipers representing the shorebirds could be visible.
